Winter weather is fast approaching and there are a few reminders for student(s)/parents to go over.

Please remember when weather is bad bus pick up/drop off times could vary.  If the bus is running late please be patient. The drivers will be driving according to road conditions.  Your student(s) safety comes first before worrying about being on time.

Remember to dress your students according to the weather. There is always the possibility of a bus break down, or a bus becoming stuck this time of year.  Make sure in cold conditions they have their coats, hats, and gloves.

It’s important to make sure your student(s) waits for the bus in a safe spot.   In the winter season many students board the bus in the dark, and roadways are slippery.   They should not be on the edge of the road or shoulder of the road, they need to keep a safe distance from where the bus pulls up and stops.

Contacting the bus garage:

In the afternoon there is someone at the garage to answer phones, but there are days when everyone is pulled from the garage and is on a bus driving and are not able to be there to answer phones.  On such days, there will be a message to inform you if no one is available and what times they will be out.  If you do need to contact someone about your student(s) these days you need to contact either the elementary or high school office at 527-9800, and they will be able to assist you.
