November 16, 2009

 

Present:            Sara Rosplock, Wm. Darrell Cornett, Tami Orcutt, Paul Seager, Greg Cacace

                        Craig Smith, Thomas Hauryski

 

Attending:         Lynn Lyndes, Superintendent; Kathy Hagenbuch, Lisa Hawken, Joe McKenna, Tim Allard, Karole Badeau, Joe McKenna, Andrew Hain, Muriel Herron, Regena Rosko, Dave Herron, Kevin Rosko, Holly Hain     

 

 

The meeting was called to order by President Tami Orcutt at 6:00 P.M. at the Campbell-Savona High School Large Group Instruction Room followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

All in attendance were asked to turn off all cell phones at this time.

 

The agenda for the evening was set.

 

Lynn Lyndes gave the Superintendent’s Report. 

Tim Allard gave the Business Administrator’s Report.

Kathy Hagenbuch gave the Director of Instruction Report.

Sara Rosplock gave a report from the Audit Committee.

Angela Pavlick gave the Pupil Personnel Services Report.

Joe McKenna gave the Elementary Report.

Lisa Hawken gave the High School Report.

 

On a motion by Cornett, seconded by Hauryski, and carried by all members present that the Board of Education accepts the minutes of the October 26, 2009 Regular Meeting as presented.

 

      Vote:  7 Yes                        0 No                 Motion Carried

 

On a motion by Rosplock, seconded by Smith, and carried by all members present that the Board of Education accepts the financial reports as presented.

 

                        Vote:  7 Yes                  0 No                 Motion Carried

 

On a motion by Rosplock, seconded by Smith, and carried by all members present that the Board of Education authorizes the District Clerk to destroy the absentee ballots from the May 19, 2009 Annual Meeting budget vote and Board member election.

 

      Vote:  7 Yes                        0 No                 Motion Carried

 

 

On a motion by Rosplock, seconded by Smith, and carried by all members present that the Board of Education accepts the tax collector’s summary report as presented.

 

     Vote:  7 Yes             0 No                 Motion Carried

 

 

On a motion by Rosplock, seconded by Smith, and carried by all members present that the Board of Education approves the Budget Development Calendar as submitted.

On a motion by Rosplock, seconded by Smith, and carried by all members present that the Board of Education appoints the following Superintendent’s Tenure Recommendations:

 

Laura Gugliotta, certificate number 2137060 in the tenure area of 7-12 Math Teacher beginning December 18, 2009.

On a motion by Rosplock, seconded by Smith, and carried by all members present that the Board of Education accepts the resignation of Nicole Woodworth as JV Cheerleading Coach.

On a motion by Cornett, seconded by Hauryski, and carried by all members present that the Board of Education appoints the following coaches aides:

 

Wrestling – Cale Paul

Wrestling – Andy Scolaro (pending CPR/FA approval)

Swimming – Jordan Coffed

Cheerleading – Joeann Meek

On a motion by Rosplock, seconded by Smith, and carried by all members present that the Board of Education approves the appointment of Shawn Spear as a chaperone for the 2009-2010 school year.

On a motion by Cornett, seconded by Hauryski and carried by all members present that the Board of Education accepts with regret a letter of intent to retire from Cathy E. Hogan effective June 30, 2010.

 

      Vote:  7 Yes                        0 No                 Motion Carried

 

On a motion by Cornett, seconded by Hauryski, and carried by all members present that the Board of Education approves the appointment of Margaret Badding as an elementary volunteer.

 

      Vote:  7 Yes                        0 No                 Motion Carried

 

Andrew Hain, President of the teacher’s union, spoke regarding negotiations, wearing black as a sign of solidarity, and proper flag etiquette in illuminating the flag pole outside.

 

On a motion by Rosplock, seconded by Cornell, and carried by all members present that the Board of Education move to Executive Session to discuss special education classifications and negotiations at 6:45 PM

On a motion by Seager, seconded by Smith, and carried by all members present that the Board of Education move out of Executive Session at      pm.

 

     Vote:  7 Yes             0 No                 Motion Carried

 

On a motion by Rosplock, seconded by Hauryski, and carried by all members present that the Board of Education accepts the minutes of the Committee on Special Education.

 

     Vote:  7 Yes             0 No                 Motion Carried
