Board of Education Meeting in the Savona Elementary Music Room

April 21, 2009

 

Present:           President Darrell Cornett, Vice President Tami Orcutt, Sara Rosplock, Paul Seager,

President Cornett called the meeting to order at 1:32 PM. 

 

On a motion by Orcutt, seconded by Rosplock, and carried by all members present that the Board of Education set the agenda for this afternoon’s meeting.

Superintendent Lyndes gave the Superintendent’s Report. 

Timothy Allard gave the Business Administrator’s Report.

Kathleen Hagenbuch gave the Director of Instruction Report. 

Sara Rosplock gave the Audit Report

Angela Pavlick gave the Pupil Personnel Report

Angela Pavlick gave the Elementary Report.

Lisa Hawken gave the High School Report.    

 

The Board of Education completed a tour of the BOCES Coopers Campus today.  It is the request of the Board of Education that all eighth grade students tour the BOCES campus and that all tenth grade students participate in the BOCES “Road Show” in the high school on an annual basis.

 

 

On a motion by Seager, seconded by Cacace, and carried by all members present that the Board of Education accept the following minutes:

On a motion by Hauryski, seconded by Smith, and carried by all members present that the Board of Education approves the following resolution:

 

That the Campbell-Savona Central School District Board of Education approves the 2009-2010 Schuyler-Steuben-Chemung-Tioga-Allegany BOCES Board of Cooperative Educational Services Administrative Budget of $6,378,895.00 as proposed.

That the Campbell-Savona Central School District Board of Education casts one ballot for each of the following candidates for membership on the Schuyler-Steuben-Chemung-Tioga-Allegany BOCES Board of Cooperative Educational Services:

RESOLVED THAT THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF THE CAMPBELL-SAVONA CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT BE AND HEREBY IS AUTHORIZED TO EXPEND THE SUM OF THE SUM OF $19,492,359 FOR THE 2009-2010 SCHOOL YEAR.

On a motion by Seager, seconded by Cacace, and carried by all members present that the Board of Education accepts the letter of resignation with intent to retire from Robert Maurice, Bus Driver, effective June 25, 2009.

On a motion by Orcutt, seconded by Smith, and carried by all members present that the Board of Education approves the following appointment as election teller for the Annual Meeting and Board member election on May 19, 2009:
