Our 5th grade teachers created a "museum" for students to go through to learn background knowledge about Vietnam before their students start reading Inside Out and Back Again. An amazing way to prepare students for such a powerful story!

6th grade ELA students making life lesson connections to the novel Bud Not Buddy and Steve Jobs lessons on life. They are researching ways be healthy and successful to make that part of their rules to live by! You can tell they are working hard as they have their "game faces" on!

We had an amazing Spelling Bee today! 26 students participated! Congratulations to our winner Kaitlyn Wallace and second place Brooklyn Ayers! Special thank you to the advisor Mrs. Jackson and Mr. Allard as an amazing pronouncer for our "bee"!

Boys on the Right Track registration is now OPEN! This program teaches boys important life skills such as problem solving, relationship building, and goal setting while training for a celebratory 5K! We love classroom celebrations at CSCS! Check out Mrs. Jackson's 5th grade ELA class working collaboratively on inferencing from a complex text and then a classroom "Go Team!" circle after they shared their learning! In addition, they made personal connections to the positive character traits of influential African American historical figures such as Jackie Robinson!
