**Shape

The Supportive Home and Parent Enrichment (SHAPE) program provides tailored home-visiting in Steuben, Allegany and Yates counties to help improve family relationships and keep troubled families together. We educate families on:

  • Providing a safe and healthy environment for their child or children

  • Child development and parenting

  • Conflict management strategies

  • Goal-setting

  • Accessing community resources

**Family Focus

The Family Focus program offers hope to families facing the challenges of child abuse and/or child neglect by providing parenting education, using family strengths and community resources to help parents learn to provide a safe, nurturing home environment where children can grow and thrive. The program provides family support, parenting education, in-home visits, enhanced/coached visitation to children in foster care, and information and referrals to additional community services.

ProAction Resilient Children and Families

Programs in the Resilient Children and Families domain use a two-generation approach to set the stage for child and family development. Children’s programs cultivate settings that foster growth and learning, while family programs support families as they set goals, discover and use their personal strengths, and reinforce relationships.

Healthy Families

Healthy Families staff strive to talk with all expectant parents and parents of newborns in the communities we serve. Our goal is to identify strengths and challenges prenatally or at birth and provide appropriate information and referrals to help babies get off to a healthy start. Healthy Families services are always free and voluntary and your information and privacy is always protected and respected.

Note: Must have a child 3 months or younger to qualify.

**Family Enrichment Collaborative Home Visitor Program

Provides home-based assistance to struggling families to build strengths, set goals and take steps to reach them. Program offers parenting education tailored to fit the family's needs. This is another ProAction program.
