What an amazing lesson in Mr. McKenna's 6th grade social studies classroom! Students collaboratively defined academic vocabulary from ancient Egypt, made pictures, sentences and even acted out the words. After that classmates had to classify the vocabulary terms in a Google Jamboard into Social Studies themes and justify their answers. Wonderful class engagement and discussion!

What's a Sphero? A Sphero is a little robot that students can program and control. In this lesson Mr. Heywood put numbers on the floor and then rolls a dice. Students can then add, subtract, multiply or divide the dice and then see how many cards they can run over and pick up with the Sphero's robots. If they hit a wrong card their turn is over! Thank you Mr. Heywood for bringing new and innovative learning opportunities to our students!

The first and second grade ASP groups worked on a Halloween STEM challenge where they created a house big enough for a ghost that could stand on its own. Some of the older students from ASP volunteered to help the younger ones as well.

Our fourth grade used a Halloween theme to do fun STEM learning activities! We designed spider webs and competed to see which one would hold the most flies! #GOPANTHERS
