Another awesome day with the Cornell Cooperative Extension bringing "Ag" into the classroom! Today our 7th graders learned all about cows and ended the class decorating their own eartags! It was "MOOtastic!"

Dear CS Panther Parents - Tommorrow, Friday October 11th is our Emergency Early Release day. Both schools will be dismissing 15 minutes early and sending all students to their Emergency Go Home Locations. Please meet your child at their designated Emergency Go Home Location.
The 4th grade students participated in a REVV Theater play yesterday, "Journey to the Center of the Earth". Through live performance they learned about the layers of the earth and even got on stage to participate! What an awesome experience!

As part of their Oceans Sustainability Unit our 6th graders visited the Steuben County landfill today and then enjoyed nature at Mossy Bank! It is wonderful to see our students learning about where our trash goes, how it is recycled and the mechanisms around it!

We are so excited to open our own student run branch of ServU Credit Union in our school next week! Isaac and Michaela will be processing transactions for all faculty and staff with ServU accounts! We are starting with the school, but hoping to open up to the community over time! Another career experience to provide our students!

CS School Counselor Mr. Holmes helped to create and facilitate the Sophomore Career Day held at Alfred State College! Students from all over our region learned about careers across a plethora of topics; the medical field, law enforcement, heavy equipment, business,... you name it, it was there! If you have a 10th grader in your home, ask them what sparked their interest!

CSCS held a day varsity boys soccer game today! Our 5-12th grade students came to cheer on our Panthers and helped lead us to a 6-0 victory over Hammondsport. A special thank you to Hammondsport for doing something new to help celebrate high school athletics together!

We have 2 students who have been accepted into this year’s Area All-State Ensembles! Kolston DeCamp (7th) will be playing trumpet in the Junior High Area All-State Band Nov 1 - 2 and Raelee Wetmore (10th) will be playing flute in the Senior High Area All-State Band Nov 15 - 16.
These two auditioned, earned high scores, were nominated, and then finally selected to participate - earning a well-deserved spot among students in Yates, Steuben, Schuyler, Allegany, and Chemung counties.
